A Private Foundation Created by LWCC

The LWCC Foundation partners with and convenes nonprofits across Louisiana as a catalyst for transformational and sustainable change in Louisiana focused on health, wellness, and safety.

Staying True to our Mission and Vision

The LWCC Foundation was created to formalize LWCC’s commitment to our vision of being a catalyst to elevate Louisiana’s position in America.

PURPOSE

To help Louisiana thrive

VISION

To make Louisiana home to the healthiest and safest workforce in America

MISSION

To inspire and create transformational change in Louisiana businesses and workers

COVID-19 Response Package

Louisiana Well Again: COVID-19 Response Package is a three-phase, $1.1 million grants and gift package to address Louisiana’s most pressing needs in the face of the pandemic and build future resiliency for the state’s businesses and workers.

$100,000 Gift

Phase 1 was a $100,000 gift to Feeding Louisiana that provided 400,000 meals and contributed to the resilience of the hardest hit Louisiana citizens.

$500,000 Grants Program

Phase 2 was a $500,000 grants program that helped hospitals across the state support the work of COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers. Funds were distributed in June 2020.

$500,000 Grants Program

Phase 3 is a $500,000 grants program focused on addressing some of the long-existing physical wellness vulnerabilities that create an increased risk of severe illness and injury. These pre-existing vulnerabilities have made many Louisiana citizens particularly susceptible to COVID-19. This phase has up to $500,000 in total funding available with the projected median grant of approximately $25,000.

PHASE 2

Support for Frontline Healthcare Workers

In an ongoing effort to stem the spread of COVID-19 and help alleviate the personal and economic strain on some of those most affected by the disease, the foundation awarded $500,000 to 24 hospitals and hospital foundations to support frontline healthcare workers.

PHASE 3

Support for Long-Existing Physical Wellness Vulnerabilities

Phase 3 of the LWCC Foundation’s Louisiana Well Again: COVID-19 Response Package is focused on addressing some of the long-existing physical wellness vulnerabilities that create an increased risk of severe illness and injury. These pre-existing vulnerabilities have made many Louisiana citizens particularly susceptible to COVID-19. These vulnerabilities are defined by the Louisiana Department of Health and include, but are not limited to:

Obesity

Hypertension/high blood pressure

Diabetes

Cardiac Diseases

Chronic Kidney Disease

Congestive heart failure
