Voting is now open in LWCC's Holiday Giving Contest, an innovative new initiative to support nonprofits working to elevate Louisiana alongside our agent partners. In lieu of a traditional holiday gift from LWCC, our agent partners nominated Louisiana-based nonprofits. Over 30 nominations from across the state were received and three were selected as finalist based on their continued efforts to celebrate and elevate Louisiana.
A total gift of $20,000 will be given on behalf of LWCC and our agent partners and split between the finalist. Voting is open to the public and each finalist will receive a share of the gift equal to the percentage of votes received.

Affiliated Blind of Louisiana - Acadia Chapter
Nominated by Kay Comeaux, McGriff Insurance Services
Mission: To teach people that are blind and deaf the skills that lead to independence, employment and community integration. They also work to promote the general welfare of the visually impaired, blind, and deaf-blind; educates the public about blindness, and informs consumers of services available to them.

Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank

Mission: Our mission is to feed the hungry in Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes by providing food and educational outreach through faith-based and other community partners. With community support, we have served the hungry in our 11 parish service area for more than 35 years.
