Baton Rouge, Louisiana (June 7, 2022) – LWCC announced a Safety Grants Program that will provide one-time grant funds to policyholders to be used to implement safety measures. Applications are open through July 22 and are available online at lwcc.com/safety-grants.
“LWCC’s mission is to better Louisiana one business and one worker at a time, and we are proud to invest these funds directly into companies to reduce the risk of workplace injury. We are committed to providing safety, security, and stability, and fostering a culture of wellbeing in Louisiana’s workforce,” said Angela McGhee, LWCC Senior Vice President of Underwriting & Chief Actuary.
The grant application is available to any of LWCC’s 20,000 active policyholders across the state. Recipients are eligible to receive up to $2,500 in grant funds to be used for the implementation of a safety project or purchasing of specialized equipment with a goal of increasing workplace safety and decreasing the risk of workplace accidents. Examples of eligible projects and/or specialized PPE are available online.
Grant recipients will be notified by August 8. A member of LWCC’s Safety Services Team will visit the workplace of all grant recipients to help maximize the use of the purchased materials or make recommendations on the safety initiative.
