LWCC Rolling Out New Virtual Payment Process for Claims Payments (VPay)

At LWCC, we're committed to providing the best care possible for injured workers, including the efficient and safe disbursement of claims payments. We've partnered with industry leader, VPay, to offer best-in-class software and modern payment solutions for both medical providers and injured workers.
VPay offers our medical providers and injured workers options for receiving payments from LWCC, including electronic payments. In lieu of paper checks, claims payments can be disbursed using virtual cards (VCards) issued by VPay through the Mastercard network. The VCard functions the same as any bank card. This enhancement, already used across the industry, is a faster, more efficient and safer method of payment.
Benefits of VPay Electronic Payments for Injured Workers
- Faster payments: ACH (direct deposit) and push to debit (deposit to a debit card) are electronic so you will receive payments much faster than mailed checks.
- Delivery even in times of a disaster: Electronic payments will be delivered to your bank account or debit card even if mail delivery is not possible.
- Single enrollment required for ACH (direct deposit): Push to a debit card requires enrollment for each payment.
- Improved security: VCards greatly reduce the risk of fraud. An email and a cell phone number are required to authenticate your identity.
Benefits of VPay for Medical Providers
- Faster payments: Virtual Credit Cards (VCCs) are delivered via fax so you will receive payments much faster than mailed checks.
- Easier reconciliation: Explanation of Review (EOR) is delivered with the payment.
- Reduced mail costs: Eliminate most printing by offering payment flexibility and more efficient ePayment options.
- Support & accessibility: Access real-time data on claims, payments, and delivery through online portal
- Improved security: VCards greatly reduce the risk of fraud. VPay guarantees delivery of funds directly to your account.
