On September 19, 2025, LWCC welcomed rising agency professionals to the Foster Learning Center for a full day of development and dialogue. The summit highlighted practical strategies to develop professionally, better serve policyholders, and deepen agency impact. LWCC hosted the summit as part of its commitment to advancing the industry and helping Louisiana thrive.

“Strong partnerships with our agents are essential in bringing to life LWCC’s purpose of helping Louisiana thrive,” said Seth Irby, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at LWCC. “The Louisiana Loyal Leadership Summit provides rising agent leaders with practical tools, fresh ideas, and valuable connections that empower them to elevate their agencies and the clients they serve.”

Leading with Meaning

The day began with “The Power of Purpose,” an interactive keynote facilitated by Seth Irby, LWCC Chief Strategy Officer, and Lauren Songy Hatcher, owner of LSH Business Consulting. The session showed how a clear, unifying mission can guide decisions and spark measurable results. Agents explored how connecting business strategy to deeper meaning strengthens engagement, attracts customers, and drives long-term success for their agencies and the clients they serve.

Networking Without the Awkward

Julie Laperouse, founder of Screaming Peacock, delivered “Don’t Make It Weird: Postmodern Networking,” an energizing keynote designed to sharpen relationship-building skills. Through humor, practical tips, and interactive moments, she showed agents how to move beyond small talk and create genuine connections, whether collaborating with fellow professionals or meeting prospective clients. Attendees left with actionable techniques to start conversations confidently, foster trust quickly, and turn casual introductions into lasting business relationships.

Breakout Sessions, Breakthrough Ideas

Afternoon breakout sessions tackled real-world leadership challenges, from high-stakes conversations to guiding organizational change and applying human-centered design to client relationships. Crucial Conversations explored strategies for handling high-stakes discussions with confidence and empathy. Change Management offered approaches for leading both personal and organizational transitions. A Human-Centered Approach for Insurance Agents demonstrated how understanding clients through human-centered design can spark innovation and stronger relationships.

The day concluded with an open group discussion on how LWCC can continue to support and partner with agencies across Louisiana, reinforcing the belief that agent partners drive business growth and play a vital role in shared success.

“The success of our agent partners is vital to LWCC,” said Tim Reier, LWCC Agency Relations Manager. “Through dedicated professional development and opportunities to collaborate, we’re ensuring they have the knowledge and support needed to deliver exceptional service and drive progress across Louisiana.”
