Leading with Meaning
The day began with “The Power of Purpose,” an interactive keynote facilitated by Seth Irby, LWCC Chief Strategy Officer, and Lauren Songy Hatcher, owner of LSH Business Consulting. The session showed how a clear, unifying mission can guide decisions and spark measurable results. Agents explored how connecting business strategy to deeper meaning strengthens engagement, attracts customers, and drives long-term success for their agencies and the clients they serve.
Networking Without the Awkward
Julie Laperouse, founder of Screaming Peacock, delivered “Don’t Make It Weird: Postmodern Networking,” an energizing keynote designed to sharpen relationship-building skills. Through humor, practical tips, and interactive moments, she showed agents how to move beyond small talk and create genuine connections, whether collaborating with fellow professionals or meeting prospective clients. Attendees left with actionable techniques to start conversations confidently, foster trust quickly, and turn casual introductions into lasting business relationships.

Breakout Sessions, Breakthrough Ideas

Crucial Conversations explored strategies for handling high-stakes discussions with confidence and empathy. Change Management offered approaches for leading both personal and organizational transitions. A Human-Centered Approach for Insurance Agents demonstrated how understanding clients through human-centered design can spark innovation and stronger relationships.
