Safety Grants 2022
LWCC seeks to foster a culture of wellbeing in Louisiana’s workforce, bettering Louisiana one business and one worker at a time. In addition to our robust safety offerings, delivered by our Safety Services Team, in 2022 we are offering policyholders the opportunity to enhance workplace safety with the assistance of LWCC’s Safety Grants Program.
The Safety Grants Program will provide one-time grant funds to policyholders to be used to implement safety measures. Following the six-week application period, a grants committee will select safety projects to receive funds based on their impact on workplace safety.
Grant funds must be utilized in 2022 but do not require a match.
Program Details
- Policyholders are eligible to receive up to $2,500 for a grant to be used for the funding of a safety project or purchasing of specialized equipment.
- The proposed project should increase workplace safety and decrease the risk of workplace accidents.
- The project can include specialized PPE and not general PPE (hard hats, shoes, safety glasses). A list of equipment that is and is not included is listed below to help policyholders develop their application.

- The online grant application period will be open from June 1 – July 22, 2022.
- Grant recipients will be notified by August 8, 2022.
- Grant funds must be utilized in 2022.
- A member of LWCC’s Safety Services Team will visit the workplace of all grant recipients to help maximize the use of the purchased materials or make recommendations on the safety initiative.
