CompAcademy 2026: Strengthening the Future of Workers’ Comp in Louisiana
CompAcademy brought Louisiana insurance agents together for a one-day, immersive look at workers’ compensation. Through practical learning and direct access to LWCC experts, participants gained knowledge and confidence to better support the businesses and workers they serve.

Event Recap
On June 22, 2026, LWCC welcomed agent partners from across Louisiana for CompAcademy, a one-day educational experience designed to strengthen their understanding of workers’ compensation. Throughout the day, participants engaged with LWCC subject matter experts across a range of topics, including the history of workers’ compensation, coverage definitions, rating, claims, policy audits, safety services, and other key components of the system.
The event gave agents a broader perspective on how workers’ compensation works in practice, along with the resources and expertise available to support policyholders and injured workers.
“Workers’ compensation can be complex, but when agents have a stronger understanding of the coverage, services, and people behind it, they are better equipped to guide their clients with confidence,” said Tim Reier, LWCC Agency Relations Manager. “CompAcademy creates an opportunity for our agent partners to learn directly from LWCC experts and build the knowledge they need to better serve Louisiana businesses and their employees.”

Learning From the Source
CompAcademy gave attendees the opportunity to hear directly from the LWCC teams who bring workers’ compensation to life each day. From claims and safety to underwriting and policyholder services, each session offered a closer look at the people, processes, and decisions that shape the policyholder experience.

The day created space for questions, conversation, and a deeper understanding of how LWCC supports businesses and injured workers across Louisiana. By connecting agents with the experts behind the work, CompAcademy helped strengthen the relationships and shared knowledge that supports better outcomes for Louisiana businesses and their people.
